I received this in an e-mail today, and thought it would be a great one to pass on.

When Your Hut's On Fire


The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.  He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him.  Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but non seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.  One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky.   He felt the worst had happened, and, everything was lost.  He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger.  He cried out, "God" How could You do this to me?"

Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island!  It had come to rescue him!  "How did you know I was here?", asked the weary man of his rescuers.  "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

The Moral of This Story:
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering.  Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

P.S.  You may want to pass this on to others, because you never know who feels as if their hut is on fire today.

Florida last week

I walked in this very water last Tuesday!!  What a wonderful time we had in Florida, and, such beautiful water.   

I love the white sand on this beach.

See the building at the end of this pier - - this is where we had lunch.  It was so beautiful and, so fun to sit and look out the restaurant window, and, see, and, actually be in the Gulf.  The water is so pretty, and so clear.  And our lunch was great.  :)

Easter bunny favors I made for Easter dinner

These are like sour cream containers, only inside instead of sour cream, there are 3 Hershey kisses.

They make great favors, and, I can make them with almost any design on them.

Yippee!! The snow is all gone!!

Sure hope it stays that way.  I am so OVER winter!!!  Bring on spring!!!   Hey, a week from tomorrow is the first day of spring, March 20th.  Yippee!!!

OK, here is the tunnel to our front door.

Do you even believe this?   And, in a couple more days, we are supposed to get a bunch more!!!!!!!!!

Anyone want to cook a burger on my grill?   That black part IS the grill.  LOL  :)

See the imprint in the concrete?  That's where we had a welcome mat in front of the door there, until the other night the snow blower decided it wanted to eat it.  Pow!  Gone, into several pieces flying all over the place.  Hubby kinda had a hard time picking the mangled pieces out of the snow blower.  Oh well, another joy of winter!! YUCK!!

And, even MORE snow -YUCK ! ! ! !

I wanna go to Florida!!  :)

This is what I saw when I opened our front door today.  The flat side of this is where hubby used the snow blower to blow a path from the driveway to our front door.  So, this is a new snow drift on top of the old stuff.  And, as you can tell,  you cannot see our road here at all.

OK, this is a picture out the same door, but, a little bit to the left.   You can kinda see a path through the snow - that's where hubby cut a path in the snow, with the snow blower,  last night.  And, as you can see, it is at least 3 feet deep in that path right now.

And, this is a shot out our bedroom window.
