Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We did. My favorite part is being with my family. We had so much fun, and, laughed so much. :) I don't have my tree down yet, and, I'm one of those that takes it down the day after Christmas. Well, not this year, haven't had time yet. Looks like it will be at least Thursday before I can even start on it. Oh well.
Now, New Year's is next. Then back to normal, whatever that is. So, Happy New Year everyone. :)

And, please remember our troops, and be so grateful to them for protecting us, so we can be with our family and friends during this wonderful season. Always include them in your prayers. And, never forget the ones that have given the ultimate, their lives, so we can live in peace.

A good point to remember . . . .
I read a Dear Abby article the other day. And, I really liked it. In short version, a lady was dying, and knew it. So, she moved all the holidays up, celebrated them with her family and friends. They came from miles away. And, it also gave her a chance to say good bye to everyone. She called it her living wake.
Abby said - "Let loved ones know today how important they are to you. If there is a way of resolving a family disagreement, do it. Finally, appreciate and enjoy the time we have with family relatives and dfriends. It is truly irreplaceable."
If you are one of those people who has a hard time saying "I love you", please try to get over that. Those 3 words are some of the most comforting and strong words there are. It makes you feel good for someone to tell you that they love you.
Life flies by so fast, don't regret showing your feelings now, not after someone has passed.
I just felt compelled to post this.

What an absolutely gorgeous day today here in Indiana
We have been so lucky these past few weeks, it has been an absolutely gorgeous fall so far. We are still in need of rain though. Today, it is so nice - it is warm enough for shorts, but cool enough to be super comfortable, no humidity, a slight breeze, and, a beautiful sunshiny sky. I am so loving it!!! (now for winter that follows - not so much) LOL
This maple tree is our first sign of autumn, in our yard. Believe me, the picture does not do it justice, it is really pretty. Shades of red, orange, yellow, rust, and green. It is really pretty.

The can that is front and center in these arrangements can be made to your specifications. I can even personalize them with the baby's, and/or parent's names, or anything you would like. I can put a picture of the baby on the can, many many backgrounds and graphics are available to make it a one of a kind.

After picking up rocks one by one, and, moving them from one place to another, my front landscaping is done. I am so glad, it has been a long process. But, it looks very nice now. Click on the picture for a larger view. :)
I am also adding a picture of the hibiscus on my topiary on my front porch this morning. It is so beautiful. :)

A gift basket I made today...
I used to make gift baskets, but, as part of my down sizing, I gave up that part of my business. However, a friend needed to have one made, and, wanted me to make it. It was for a wedding, he didn't want anything fancy, and, wanted mostly food. So, here it is.
(and, now looking at this picture, I need to straighten the top knot) And, there will be a card hanging down on a gold cord also.
Front and back views. :)

New Baby - take to the hospital gift
Here's a good idea of something very reasonably priced (I sell these for $5.99) to take to the hospital for the new Mommy and baby. The baby will have the cute little stuffed animal for the future, and, Mommy gets the yummy chocolate. And, Mommy deserves it, and, will deserve it in the future also. LOL :)
I have lots and lots for designs for the candy bar wrapper, or I can custom design one, especially for you, and the new baby. :)

I just finished a 1000 piece order for a local mortuary last night. These will be handed out at our county fair as advertising. Here is a picture of them. It is a lot of pieces! :)
This table is 6 feet 3 inches long, if that gives you an idea. :)

Need a unique way to advertise - or wow your guests at a gathering?
Here's a wonderful way to advertise. I can custom design these mint books with graphics, pictures, text, etc. I made these for a local realty office's open house. Lots of realtors from other agencies will be coming, and, I am hopeful they will want some of their own.
I did these as a favor, so, I put my advertising on the back. These are great for meetings, handouts, conventions, cookouts, family re-unions, to use as a business card, to put in a bowl on your desk, etc., just any occasion.

My Mintbooks I made to take to a 4th of July cookout next weekend
Do you need a unique way to advertise your business?
People will remember you as the one that gave them a mintbook, instead of just a business card.
A different idea for a wedding, birthday
or any party favor?
You have an idea? - I will do my best to design
you a mintbook all your own!
Other items also available.
Customized at no extra charge.

I received this in an e-mail today, and thought it would be a great one to pass on.
When Your Hut's On Fire
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but non seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and, everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, "God" How could You do this to me?"
Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! "How did you know I was here?", asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
The Moral of This Story:
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.
P.S. You may want to pass this on to others, because you never know who feels as if their hut is on fire today.

Florida last week
I walked in this very water last Tuesday!! What a wonderful time we had in Florida, and, such beautiful water.
I love the white sand on this beach.
See the building at the end of this pier - - this is where we had lunch. It was so beautiful and, so fun to sit and look out the restaurant window, and, see, and, actually be in the Gulf. The water is so pretty, and so clear. And our lunch was great. :)
